HVAC/R and Brazing at SkillsUSA
The Harris Products Group is once again proud to be the brazing event sponsor in the HVAC/R national competition at SkillsUSA. Students from across the country compete in several skill areas within the HVAC/R area and are judged on their technical ability and general industry knowledge. Congratulations to all of the competitors!
Harris Products Group NASCAR Experience
Steve Augustine was the grand prize winner of the Harris NASCAR Racing Experience Giveaway. His entry was selected from all the daily prize winners at this year's AHR Expo in Chicago. As part of the prize, Steve got to drive a NASCAR stock car for 8 minutes at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliete, IL.
Harris Specialty Gas Overview
We are proud to be introducing a new line of products to our line of specialty gas equipment in 2012. In this video David Gailey, Manager of Specialty Products, talks about the evolution of the Harris Specialty Gas program from inception to industry leader.
Harris Specialty Gas - Ultra-High Flow Regulators
The new Harris Ultra-High Flow Regulators are single stage brass barstock regulators intended for applications where extremely high volumes of gas are required. Technical Services Manager Randy Weise introduces these new models and explains the best applications for use.
Harris Specialty Gas - Back-pressure Regulators
The Harris Model HP 744 and Model 724C back-pressure regulators are intended for upstream or inlet pressure control of high purity and corrosive applications acting as field adjustable, highly sensitive relief valves. Project Engineer Todd Nolan talks about the features of these new additions to the Harris specialty gas equipment line.
Model 260 High Flow Switchover Manifold
Suitable for applications with high flow such as laser assist systems, purging systems, or critical high flow production systems, the new Model 260 High Flow Switchover Manifold was designed to provide uninterrupted flow of gas in a single low-maintenance mechanical unit. Technical Services Manager Randy Weise gives us a detailed overview of the features and benefits of this great addition to our specialty gas equipment line.
Model SG905 Single Body Switchover Manifold
Randy Edenfield, Director of North American Product Development / R & D, introduces Model SG905, our new single body switchover manifold. The SG905 is designed to reduce leak paths and internal volume.
Tied Diaphragm Regulator
Harris Engineer Mike Brown introduces the new Tied Diaphragm Regulator for the Harris Specialty Gas Equipment line.

Brazing Steel to Steel with Harris Low Fuming Bronze and the Inferno® by Harris
Learn about brazing and soldering from George Benyak, INFERNO® product development team member and industry veteran. Here George uses low fuming bronze on a steel to steel joint. Harris low fuming bronze is designed for repair and fabrication applications on steel, copper, copper alloys nickel and nickel alloys.
Brazing Copper to Copper with Harris Bridgit® Lead-Free Solder and the Inferno® by Harris
Learn about brazing and soldering from George Benyak, INFERNO® product development team member and industry veteran. The INFERNO in use with Bridgit lead-free solder. Bridgit is widely used in plumbing applications where lead-bearing solders are prohibited. Bridgit contains nickel, making joints tremendously strong. A wide plastic range makes Bridgit and excellent alloy for large diameter fittings and ill-fitted on non-concentric pipes.
Brazing Copper to Steel with Harris Safety-Silv® 56 and the Inferno® by Harris
Learn about brazing and soldering from George Benyak, INFERNO® product development team member and industry veteran. The INFERNO and Safety-Silv 56, a brazing filler metal, are used by George in this demonstration. Harris Safety-Silv 56 offers good joint strength and ductility on nickel alloys, which will avoid the possibility of stress corrosion cracking. Safety-Silv 56 is a good color match on stainless steel and it has excellent fluidity that promotes penetration for good strength and elongation.
Brazing Copper to Copper with Harris Dynaflow® and the Inferno® by Harris
Learn about brazing and soldering from George Benyak, INFERNO® product development team member and industry veteran. Here George uses Dynaflow, a product designed for copper or brass applications. Dynaflow is self fluxing on copper but requires use of Stay-Silv white or black brazing flux when joining brass. Dynaflow has a melting range that is wide enough to alloy filling gaps, necessary to braze loose connections or "cap" a finished joint.
