The Harris Products Group introduces Ring of Fire, brazing ring

Mason, OH - Jan 02, 2013 :

The Harris Products Group, a manufacturer of brazing, soldering, welding and cutting equipment and alloys, recently released a new line of consumable brazing alloys, Ring of Fire™.

The Ring of Fire uses Harris’ popular Stay-Silv® 15 brazing alloy in the shape of a pre-formed ring, ideal for pipe connections. They are used primarily in the HVAC/R and plumbing industries to secure piping joints.

"We know that contractors working in the field need convenience, quality and consistency. The Ring of Fire provides them with all three," said Chuck Ellis, director of wholesale distribution for The Harris Products Group. "Using the same formulation, testing and standards as our 15% silver alloy, Stay-Silv 15, we are "giving customers the convenience of preformed rings."

The rings come in a variety of sizes to meet any application – 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 7/8", and 1 1/8". Each size is neatly packaged for convenience, with 10 pieces for the 1 1/8" size and 25 pieces for other sizes. There is also a variety pack with a combination of the sizes in one package.  With a simple three-step process, customers clean the surfaces to be brazed, fit the ring into the pipe fitting and heat the tube, resulting in a tight, leak-proof joint.

The new product is manufactured in Harris’ facility in Mason, Ohio, USA, which was designated as one of the best in North America when it earned a Best Plant Award from IndustryWeek in 2012 for manufacturing excellence.

"Our customers expect the best, and that’s what they receive when they purchase any Harris alloy, including Stay-Silv® 15 and the Ring of Fire," Ellis said. "Our distributors are pleased to offer this innovative product with the same high standards contractors expect from The Harris Products Group."
