Harris® 3AH tool steel is used to weld AISI A2 - A6 air hardening tool steels. Best used where abrasion resistance if required. Typical applications are cold extrusion, blanketing and draw dies, construction equipment, farm machinery, mining equipment. The part should be preheated to as high a temperature as is consistent with the final hardness requirements. Yields a deposited hardness of RC 55-60.
