AlSolder™ Aluminum Soldering Kit

500K

Alsolder™ aluminum soldering kit: 1/16 in. (16 mm) 85/15 soldering wire, 1 oz. (28.3 g) Stay-Clean® aluminum soldering flux

DETAILS

Alsolder™ 500 kit is an intermediate temperature alloy useful for soldering aluminum to itself and other metals but is not recommended for magnesium. Frequently used for repair of aluminum evaporators and soldering aluminum-to-copper tubing. When joining aluminum to dissimilar metals, the possibility of electrolytic corrosion must be considered. Alsolder 500 is also suited to repair zinc die cast alloys. The kit includes 85/15 - 1/16 in. (1.6 mm) rosin core wire and 1oz. (28.3g) Stay-Clean aluminum soldering flux.

Features

  • Aluminum solder alloy for torch or iron
  • Good color match on aluminum and zinc die cast
  • Forms excellent corrosion-resistant joints on tough-to-solder aluminum alloys
  • Not recommended for magnesium
  • Up to 20,000 psi tensile strength
  • 50% elongation in 2 in. (mechanical properties of bulk solder)
  • Used to repair aluminum evaporators and soldering aluminum-to-copper tubing
  • Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive
  • The kit includes 1 oz. solder wire and 1.75 oz. Stay-Clean® aluminum soldering flux
