Harris® 0HP Brazing Alloy

Harris® 0HP phos-copper-copper brazing alloy is an economical brazing filler metal (very fluid medium temperature brazing alloy) for joining copper, brass, and bronze. Will withstand moderate vibration. Recommended joint clearance is .002 in. - .005 in. Stay Silv 0HP, (and other phosphorus containing filler metals), should not be used to braze ferrous or nickel alloy base metals. Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive.

• Economical choice for copper brazing
• Copper is self-fluxing, so no manual flux application is required
• Alloy flows quickly at brazing temperature requiring close joint tolerance, less than 0.005 in. (0.13mm)
• Primarily used in manual brazing applications
• Suitable for brazing brass
• When brazing brass, operators should avoid over heating and use Stay Silv® white brazing flux
• Not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base metals
• Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but phosphorus containing alloys, including Harris® 0HP, should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
• Recommended joint clearance of 0.002 in. - 0.005 in. (0.05mm - 0.13mm)
